Damson blossom

Another busy day. Loaded the washing machine twice to take advantage of the sunshine and wind for drying. We then went to a friends horse paddock to collect some rotted horse manure, which we then spread around the base of our trees in our little orchard. I expanded one of the deer cages so that the damson tree could breath a bit better, and that is where this blossom blip was taken.

All things considered several hours of hard work shovelling horse poo around, weeding and fighting with steel wire, but if it all turns apples it and plums it will have been worth it.

For dinner my better half made a wonderful venison and vegetable pie, which went down very well with some horseradish sauce.
