... a working open caste mine also proved to be a fascinating photographic opportunity with its revealing rock strata of different minerals, especially in the early morning light. We all had a chuckle about the lack of health and safety as we looked down into the mine, with nothing between us and deep cavernous holes below us ...
Thanks to Jacqui Hurst for organising such a great photographic course ... I loved it, especially as the location was so fascinating with such a variety of places to photograph, challenging me all the time. And I learnt so much, not only from Jacqui, but also the fellow photographers on the course ... it was always interesting every evening when we did our show and tell where individual styles came through and we also spotted such a variety of subjects even if we were standing in the same place ...
