Stone Mountain, Georgia

We only had a short time for sightseeing today, so we headed off to Stone Mountain. It has some walking trails that you can take to the top, there is an exhibit that teaches about stone quarries, there's a campground and a lake for boating, and there is this sky ride that takes you to the top. We only had time to drive around and see what was available, but not to try any of it. A bit of a tease. But it's a lovely park and we would like to come back some day. We headed back to the hotel to meet up with a group of family members to have dinner. It's very hot and humid here, a much appreciated difference from the chilly, rainy weather we left behind.
