Carrbridge

I go home to Findhorn via The Dava Moor and the little village of Carrbridge, regularly passing this quite famous bridge. Also called The Coffin Bridge as it allowed foot and cart passengers to cross the river to funerals at the local church, the Bridge was built in 1717 and cost £100 to build. The specifications of the bridge stated that it should be high enough to withstand the River Dulnain in spate and indeed it has been.
