Great. More steps

Headed to the Hermitage of Braid, only to find that due to the recent rainfall the path leading in from the university is closed as it had been eroded. So I went around, and found this path that ran alongside a short river. Half an hour later I still hadn't reached the top. Annoyingly, when I did reach the top I saw another bird of prey - not sure what kind - but didn't manage to change lens in time.

Been looking at buying a new lens recently, not sure whether I should get a telephoto 500mm, or something wide-angle. Not really in any rush to make my mind up though, as I have to save up for whatever I get first.
