The Visitor
This morning saw me up at 4:30am and out of the house at 5am; I'd noticed a few weeks back that there would be a "dawn chorus" meet this morning at the nature reserve and I'd decided to go. It was disappointing in the sense we saw nothing spectacular, but I did learn from "old hands" where to go to see what, and I learned also, a bit about different bird calls. The next meet is on macro photography and in June there'll be a moth walk, but I'm not convinced I'll enjoy moths as dusk.
It was fortunate the fox came calling this afternoon as he allowed me to get a blip without too much effort - I've been a bit lacklustre today, which I can only put down to the early start.
