Dancing the sun up on May Day

Apologies for yet another Morris Blip, seems to be the season for Morris at the moment!

The Towersey Morris Men have been dancing the sun up at Towersey Crossroads for 50 years and today we turned out at 5.30 to watch them and then go for breakfast in the village pub, the Three Horseshoes.  Steve and Sarah came along as did 2 of the the Three Horseshoes Morris ladies........and Ted.

Ted was a star attraction and everyone made a big fuss of him and so he had a good morning too!

We then came home for a couple of hours before returning to Towersey to dance the May Queen to be crowned followed by a short service and then more dancing.

Home again at midday and then off to lunch party with Pat and David to celebrate their 45th Wedding Anniversary with them and a heap of their family and friends!

All in all a good May day!
