The peloton passed in a blur...

...such a shame the weather was less than kind, but there was still a great turnout in Stokesley.
The big screen worked today, and the organization was excellent - roads closed to timetable, and an amazing number of outriders passed through before the riders. A great fun atmosphere - the group next to us had football rattles and huge cow bells, and they greeted everyone with gusto right from the start. A lot of the police cars, ambulances and motorcycles responded in kind, and then there was much whooping and waving of flags as the riders arrived.
In the centre of town there were roundabouts, bands playing, climbing walls and food stalls galore - everyone ignored the rain and seemed keen to make the most of the day!
