Twin Rocks at Rockaway Beach
The sun was shining on Twin Rocks today so I knew it would be my Blip when the sea gull flew into the photo.
We had a fun day as we drove south down the beach to an area called the ghost forest, it is an area where the ocean shoreline changed and a forest of trees were covered with water. There are just stumps remaining that are visible at low tide.
When we got back to Garibaldi we went back out crabbing (we got 8 crab yesterday) until sunset. When we finish crabbing, we usually throw the bait to the sea gulls. The highlight of the time out on the Bay was when a Bald Eagle swooped in right behind the boat and took the bait away from a seagull. We didn't see him coming until we saw the seagulls suddenly scatter and he scooped the bait away in his talons.
Our friends who are visiting from Utah have been at our beach house many times over the last 14 years.....and they have always seen Oregon at its best....good weather and good times!
