It's a Hard Life

Ellie decided that getting the garden back into shape was too much like hard work and her time was far better spent sunning herself.

It took hubby and I the best part of the day to weed the garden after our holiday. We have lost this year's lilies to the dreaded lily beetle. In the 15 years I have grown them, I have NEVER had so much as a nibble from the red beasts. Has it been a good (bad) year for lily beetles?
