The Struggle ........

...... is a very steep (and long) climb up from Ambleside to  the top of Kirkstone Pass.
Near the bottom we passed a woman going at quite a lick up the hill.
When I stopped to take a picture or two there was a bloke sitting waiting for her.
We played 'leapfrog' all the way up the hill as I stopped to take pictures and they kept going.
We arrived at the top at the same time as the bloke and his girlfriend was only a couple of minutes behind.
I had to shake their hands and buy them a drink ..... they were awesome!

This evening I found out that we missed a friend at Kirkstone pass by 15 minutes as she headed home to Blackpool after taking sunrise shots at Haweswater before going to Ullswater .......... and we both missed a mutual friend from Milton Keyes who was also at Ullswater (but a couple of hours later than us
