Slowly Dancing through the Strauchberg Fields

Until after midday we had been busy with chores. Fortunately some time was left before handling our last shopping list. So we went to neighbouring Herstelle. Just to climb up that steep grassy foottrack towards the Strauchberg upland. This time we would not make the right but the left hand circular. Which fitted perfectly well to the damp dull gray skies. And to the many rapeseedfields nearby and in the distance all over the panorama.

Here you can cross through the upland fields in different directions. Frome here you could follow your desiring eyes: descend into the Hainbach valley, climb up and down again. And through the Silberloch reach the foot of the Hölleberg. Climb further on top of that flat barren and windy height. Look, you can see the the misty contours of the great Deiselberg behind there.

I love the depth of this landscape. Even if there is no sun breaking through at the moment. Never mind, this is the land where we came to live and learn to dance in the rhythm of ascending and descending. Moving between earth and sky, mountains and rivers, following streams and brooks up to their hidden origins. Dwelling and erring sometimes, but still going strongly that wonderful Way. Deeply inhaling the mountainland air. Feeling healthy far from the madding crowd. Turning left around a vast rapesead field, entering the Strauchberg forest again, slowly descending over autumnleafs back to where we started at the riverside.
