Hold On Tight.

The weather was perfect for Trevithick day at Camborne.we left home after lunch and parked at Camborne College who were running a park and ride.we arrived as one bus had just left by now a crowd arrived and we were waiting and waiting ,half an hour standing there.H said lets walk to Camborne and some others did also.but quite a few elderly were unable to walk that far which was down the road to Tuckingmill then on to Camborne.it took us about twenty minutes to walk it .we arrived in time to see the parade of steam vehicles which was spectacular, and it was free which is rare these days.normally Trevithick Day is on the same day as Porthleven Food Festival ,but they decided to change it at a later date.Richard Trevithick was a pioneer of steam-powered road and rail transport.Richard Trevithick's unamed steam locomotive hauled a train along the tramway of Penydarren ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil wales.see extra pics.
