Tour de Yorkshire

Not usually one for getting up early at the weekend but we were up and out not much later than a weekday this morning - and it's amazing how much longer the day feels!! 

The Tour de Yorkshire was coming through Pontefract today - the ladies at about 10am - so we took the car through to the in-laws and walked up to an ideal spot. There were a reasonable amount of people about by the time they arrived and I got a few photos. Lizzie Armitstead is on the right of this one.

We decided not to risk the men's race this afternoon as hubby is on nights tonight and we were worried he wouldn't get back home and then to work on time. Unfortunately we couldn't even see it on tv as, although we can get pictures from the international space centre, they didn't seem to be able to get these ones. They missed the ladies race completely, got the men's pictures for about ten minutes and then, just before Pontefract, they lost them again!
