Not our dinner table

After a slightly bigger night than I think any of us intended (I hear your guffawing lurkers) tonight was far more low key. Though the two gentleman of the house did seem to treat the ordering of a curry as an opportunity to train for a Japanese game show.

A quiet day with some very nice bits...including meeting a friend for coffee in the brand new restaurant / bar / coffee shop in town. All very splendid and I foresee much time in the new haunt which promises to be good at all times of the day. I took this picture to send to the person who organises our book club socials as a suggestion for our summer outing. It turns out to be the only picture I have taken so here it is.

The less nice, but productive bit was the almost embarrassing amount of begging and negotiating it took to get an appointment date for J's results....but a date we have...12 May.
