When I went to get this shot PD thought it was his cue to go for a swim.
It took a lot of "NO"s to stop him going further than a paddle.

Late afternoon SWMBO and I headed off for the weekend
We were expecting horrible weather on route to Windermere. In fact it was very nice.
The only fly in the ointment was the pretty poor signage when it came to the road closed due to landslides months ago.
There are no Diversion signs - just signs telling you a road number is closed so unless you know the area or the road numbers you are goosed.

But we got here in one piece - just in time for quite a nice sunset from the front of the hotel.
Not from our room ......... that looks onto a fire escape and a roof. But hey! it has a huge comfortable bed and the fish & chips served with a pint of local ale was excellent.
