The adventure begins!

Today we are off to start our vacation in Cape Cod, Ma.  With a stopover tonight at the home of DDW and her husband, R, who graciously invited us to stay with them for the night.

We arrived at their lovely home just after 4:30 pm and spent the rest of the evening talking and sharing stories as if we had known each other forever!  And this is only the third time we have ever met!  That’s what is so amazing about blipfoto …. You get to know people through this site and if you are lucky enough you get to meet them in person!

After D & R shared their latest cruise pictures with us and told us all about their trip we got ready to go to supper.  They treated us to a delicious meal at a local Italian restaurant.  Thank you so much!!
Upon returning to their home we had dessert which I had baked and brought with us … Lemon Chess Pie! And shared more stories.  D is the best story teller and I could have listened to her for days.

We were soon all tuckered out and we all headed for bed.  But what a perfect way for us to begin our vacation!
 
My picture is of the Tappan Zee Bridge which we crossed on our way to DDW’s.  Today was a four state day …. Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
