Lovely Luss & cute caravans
Brilliant day today:
Stop 1 - Lomond Shores for a wander. Had the pleasure of cuddling and photographing a completely adorable Newfoundland. Also photographed a serene Afghan Hound who was far too glamorous and beautiful to be touched. Funny how much the owner looked like her dog, and I don't mean that as an insult. The pair of them just looked so well turned out!
Stop 2 - Luss, where this blip hails from. Boy, was it busy. Day trippers everywhere clogging up the shore, the walks, the car park. Can't really complain seeing as we were one of the day trippers, gawping at the cottages and marvelling at the crazy people swimming in the loch. Did the 'long' walk around Luss, then lunched on the shore. We were eating our lunch, the midgies were eating their lunch - we quickly decamped to the car park to finish off our treats.
Stop 3 - Inverarnan to view a caravan we're thinking of buying. Both hubby and I spent the first 10mins thinking there is no way on god's green earth we are ever parting with cash for this monstrosity. By the end of 20 mins all reason had left us and we were both walking back to the car trying to contain our excitement. The conversation on the way back home was very mature and sensible - yes, but what about this, hmm, what about that, and we need to consider this...both of us fully aware that the other has a little flutter of excitement in their stomach about cleaning the caravan up and using it to take the kids on adventures every other weekend. The kids of course loved it from the very first second and declared it sold. They would quite happily have spent the rest of the day sitting in it, gazing out at the half burnt-down house it was parked next to. Imagine their excitement when they see it on a campsite next to a playpark or a beach!
Stop 4 - Asda for the kids to cash up all the coppers they've been saving. £7.56! Enough for a Moshi Monsters book and some left for Moshi Monsters cards.
Stop 5 - Home. Just made the most ridiculously hot pasta dish that everyone declared painful to eat.
Stop 6 - Hot bath with a glass of wine!
Life's good.
