THE TOUR DE YORKSHIRE

I watched the cycle race on tv until the computer repair man left and we could nip down to the village. It was freezing standing waiting, but we were entertained by Police motorcyclists who did the royal wave as they passed by. It felt as though the whole of Yorkshire's motorcycle division were out in force.

Eventually the peloton arrived and whipped along Gargrave High street in a flash. Gone.

That little dog bottom right hand corner is one of Oscar's friends.

Back home we watched the rest of the race on tv until the end in Settle. We had recorded the bit we missed when we were out, and watched the recording from Pateley Bridge onwards; Greenhow, Grassington, Hetton, and then to our village.

But no. That's when ITV4 cut for adverts. The televised race started again a few yards the other side of the village on the A65. Bah Humbug.
