The Dardanelles

The Dardanelles is a narrow straight in north western Turkey connecting the Aegean Sea to the Sea of Marmara.

The memorial seen in the blip is to the Turkish troops who died in the Gallipoli campaign in 1915 and was taken from the ship as we sailed through.

We will dock in Istanbul tomorrow morning.

It is B’s birthday today. Thanks to P & R and “the girls” for the cards and presents. We did a gym session this morning, but he has had a quieter day as he has the beginnings of a cold.
