Black, white, yellow
A frosty morning was followed by another very cold day, despite plenty of morning sun. Unfortunately this had more or less gone by the time I arrived to lead a spring flower walk round Thorpe Wood at two o'clock. Despite the chill there was a good turn out, with about thirty people. And it stayed dry for most of the time, with just a little light rain for the last fifteen minutes or so.
Somehow I didn't really get around to taking any photographs, but in a spare few minutes before I went out to pick Pete and Chris up from the station, I found a subject for this week's Abstract Challenge, with black, white and a splash of colour. I'm not really sure whether it's abstract enough though!
Alex was supposed to be going out newt surveying this evening. He was picked up at 8, just as the heavens opened and the temperature plummeted. Apparently they sat in the car and waited for the best part of an hour, but at about nine they sensibly decided to give up. There hasn't been a single night this week warm enough - very frustrating!
