Fleur's Place

On the two previous occasions over several years that we have optimistically driven into Fleur's Place at Moeraki to sample her legendary table, we have struck her 'closed' days. Today , patience and persistence were rewarded and with friend Rosemary, Fleur seated us at a window in her character-filled cafe on the harbour side at Moeraki. We were then treated to the most beautifully succulent blue cod I have eaten in my life, served with perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables and the most subtle caper and lime dressing. An experience to savour and remember with special pleasure in loving company. Thank you Fleur!
