THE NEW LITTLE CAMERA HAS DIED!

I've had it only five weeks. I've taken only 449 pictures with it and today it wouldn't work. I switched it on but the screen was black. Now I cannot switch it off. I haven't done anything horrid to it. I am beside myself. Yes that wet bit of fabric is where I cried on it.
