Left Paris at 8am to drive to Brittany.
Met David... an interesting day in the countryside around Guingamp & Callac. Met the locals. Met the maire's wife, who works in the tabac/bar, who used to live in BB!! The maire gave us the key to the cathedral to go in and have a look. Then we drove to Les Vallées des Saints: 1000 sculptures...
We saw a lone man wandering around with a three-legged dog... apart from us the place was deserted. It turned out this man was Patrice Le Guen, ... the sculptor who created this masterpiece!
He then kindly posed for photos, took us to his workshop, & then took us to his home to meet his two assistant sculptors, and offered us beers. We were made very welcome indeed.
Drove to Binic to book into our hotel - Il Romano. Evening walk to the sea and then a cosy evening in.
