Holidays from my past

Have you ever smiled so much your cheeks hurt?

Today I went to visit my parents. My Dad has been scanning lots of old slides, mostly of our holidays in the north.
This is a photograph I wanted to share, so I blipped it. Some of you may recognise the boat's name as the property of the author Gavin Maxwell. The kids on it are my three brothers my sister, me and his house keeper's daughter, Fiona Borders. I am the cutest, of course! (OK the smallest one).

I had a whale of a time looking through the old slides and gave my kids a smile or two looking at them too.
