Textures

Do you know about Design Cuts? They do amazing deals that only last for 30 days or so. They often have textures in their bundles, and I must have 200 or more that I've bought and not used. 

So I've resolved to use one a day for a while, and here's my first. 

Do you use textures? Can you recommend any good editing resources? I just use Photoshop with an Overlay blend, but I'm sure there must be other things to try.
