shoot fast or shoot slow, that is the question

Lots of snow falling most of the day today. It didn't lie in the village as we are so coastal but a mile or two inland the roads are now blocked.

So I had a practice with different focal lengths, apertures and shutter speeds to bring out the falling snow, Here is the conclusions of my experimentation.

The shutter speed is a matter of choice, depends if you want snowy streaks or snowflakes in your image. In my main shot I chose streaks but in the extra I have chosen flakes.

A long focal length combined with a small aperture is best because that way I can capture the most snowflakes and the greatest depth of field.

Further comments always gratefully received

Teenager is recovering from the bug and we have escaped it so far so all looking good here.
