From research council to research council

Yesterday's meeting in Glasgow was related to my work with the Economic and Social Research Council. Today I flew to Birmingham for duties related to my role as a chair of an advisory board for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

I also managed a couple of hours this afternoon at my old workplace in the city centre. There I caught up with my friend Keith (who took over the job I left in Birmingham in 1989) and my former colleague Keith (yes, another one), whose job I took in Edinburgh in 1999.

Exercise today: one morning loop, sit-ups, weights and stretches, walking (12,634 steps)
