Skip's Blips

Another B.I.A. (Bird in Action)

I have been trying to capture Birds in Action blips recently. On Monday the white-throated sparrow made a successful attempt to take off with a large bark butter bit in his mouth, and I captured the action. Today's B.I.A., a tufted titmouse, was not quite as successful. He made the takeoff okay, but the resulting action was something less than graceful. We did get an unusual view of his rump though, and I got more practice at capturing fast action blips. I guess you can say it was a win-win situation.

The extra photo is a much more graceful picture of a tufted titmouse.
