" BON JOURE MISOURE "
For those of you who have asked about the trip to France, here is a collective collage. The chicken and two cockerels lived in the main house garden so would wander everywhere. There used to be more chickens but sadly Mr Fox had been around so the one white chicken was constantly followed by the two males who seemed to get on very well sharing her affections!
We spent a day at Saint Emilion which was our only warm dry day. Eating outside at a charming café almost got sunburnt. The arch above was typical of the lovely architecture. Our host prepared a superb selection of oysters for us and as we had never tried them, it was a great experience.
The bees are huge with beautiful wings so it had to be included. In fact all the insects were large. My first experience with the very old bathroom with very low beams was a giant centipede sitting on the shower head waiting to drop on me. So Mr A was summoned forthwith!!
So apart from having to take time out to rest every afternoon as our host was tired, we have some memories. And of course many churches with beautiful stained glass windows.
Now back home to reality. We are collecting Matthew tomorrow for his birthday on Friday. Cant believe he is going to be 33. Where does time go.
Half way through another week, see what I mean. xxxxxx
