As time goes by.

About a month ago a gentleman named Neil Studdert passed away. Neil lived at number five, two doors up from our house. He would occasionally find a letter at work which haven't been delivered and would drop it in our letter box on the way home. Recently retired, he had worked for Australia Post for 60 years. He was a quiet gentle man, as was his father Eric. Though a sad occasion, there were many happy memories of Neil. The photo is of St Albans church in late afternoon sunlight, where each week Neil would climb the stairs to the clock tower, and would wind the mechanism which would chime all week on the hour. There were very few people at the service that Neil had done this task for over half a century. Neil's casket left the church to the Elvis Presley tune"Return to Sender", a fitting tribute for one of life's gentlemen. RIP Neil.
