The underbelly of the natural world – it isn’t all pretty and cuddly.
 
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I realised one of the two Monarch butterflies to emerge earlier in the day had become part of the food chain so quickly. I knew Praying Mantis weren’t on friendly terms with the Monarch butterfly, but I didn’t expect to catch one ‘red-handed’. It had to be recorded, blipped and tagged to join the other photos of the Monarch life cycle.
