Fritillary
Another mystery to solve today which took us on a drive to Grasmere with me on the back seats, listening for an unidentifiable noise the Fiesta has developed. All possible sources of rattles and bangs have been removed from the interior and I’ve even been in the boot trying to bounce the car up and down.
We parked in the big layby and walked into the village, had a coffee at the garden centre, then wandered around the Wordsworth Daffodil garden. The daffodils are well past their best but the fritillaria and bluebells are looking good.
Home to sunshine, and I got over an hour’s work done in the garden until the weather deteriorated. Hail and rain here - no snow as in other parts of the county.
