Trian Depot for Blip 1,000
I chose these two photos of the same depot since on my 1,000th post, I was thinking about a depot being the beginning of a journey for some, the ending of a journey for some, and an interim place for others. I am certainly not at the beginning of my Blip experiences, and my intent is that I am not at the end, but still traveling on a journey that has surprised me with sharing, caring, and affection, not to mention all I've learned from so many of you about how to be a better photographer. I thank you for all the kindness you have shared, the times you have helped me with your comments, and most of all for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful, inspirational community. The depot is in Whiteville, NC. It was called Vineland Station even after the town became Whiteville. The owner of the local newspaper told me tonight that the area was a large grape growing area in times past, and the name Vineland is from that era. The photo above is sepia, and the extra is a different crop in color.
