Garden Bouquet
I've been stalking a tiny, bright green spider for days. The first time I saw it , it was on a bright pink petunia and looked quite splendid, but fed up with my fumbling around with a camera an inch away, it literally jumped off the petunia and disappeared into the bright green leaves where it has camouflaged itself very successfully.
I have exhausted myself jumping to my feet trying to catch the giant raven flinging himself at the suet feeder and flapping madly around it, grabbing morsels, or the tiny hummingbirds in the bottle brush plants. The quail have begun their stately, yet still somewhat silly evening march down the stairs. Soon, I suspect they will start appearing with tiny fluff balls, in order to initiate them into the mysteries of jumping down the steps (a seemingly suicidal act of faith for the tiny babies, but they manage it).
Unable to capture all the bird activity in the garden, I picked a bouquet of iris and roses and started playing with the camera, the light, and the flowers. I like taking pictures of flowers…they are so cooperative.
