Fishing Fleet

The fishing fleet was out in force this morning. They must have sensed there would be a good catch close to shore as there were a dozen or more pangas circling around casting nets (I know, there are only seven in this photo, but there were others just outside the frame). The statue, who I have blipped previously, was a silent observer of their efforts - which seemed futile to say the least. I watched them here for at least 5 minutes and then another half dozen down by the pier and never saw any fish pulled from the nets the many men standing up in these boats were tossing into the water.
