A Visit From The Wild

As Louie tried to get my attention, I was enchanted by this roe deer this afternoon, opposite me in the field.  I had noticed him at the end and rushed to get my big camera lens for some shots.  I stood for ages watching him walk round the field, looking for a way out, grabbing a mouthful of fresh grass and leaves on his way through - the open gate opposite me was his only way out and I think by now he realised that I was no threat - so he came up so close, in no hurry or panic, he was calm, cool and collected and so was I!  WOW!  Although he had seen better days, but WOW what a gorgeous animal!  I feel so blessed and priviledged to get so close!  :) xx
