Julie
Julie is on her second volunteering session in Malawi, where she is spending three weeks. She has just got her degree in Early childhood development form DIT and has already been snapped up by some school who may have got a glimpse of her in action as I did.
Her ambition was to work in MICA preschool and to say that she has revolutionised the place is an understatement. She is amazing.
She just has the gift.
When I arrived today, two four year olds greeted me in English and showed me around. They all want to keep her, but I'm sure Allan has a different view.
It is possible to make significant changes in Malawi, not with money, but with HEART. And Julie has it in abundance.
Of course Miriam our head carer will remember every little strategy and will soon pass them on to others in her training days.
Just to mention that Julie brought surgical instruments that will now enable the surgeon in Mzuzu Central Hospital to carry our eye operations safely again. Huge excitement there and at the Mzuzu Clinic when they arrived. Well done and huge thanks to all from our friends in both hospitals.
We just bring stuff from and to some amazing people.
