Ruddy Turnstone(Arenaria interpres)
I went out this morning with the sole mission to do the summer plumage of the Ruddy Turnstones justice for my collection! I am sure bird photographers will agree with me that they are not an easy bird to photograph-they are always on the move and their new plumage is incredible against the pebbles of the shoreline, they practically disappear before your eyes. They have really got those rufous markings now so suit their name and they are very beautiful indeed. They are also have very beautifully marked wings in flight and look fantastic against a blue sky.
