Wooed by Fred Meyer

Ever since they started building the New Seasons market less than a 10-minute walk from them, my local Fred Meyer store is trying all kinds of things to keep their customers happy. They've remodeled the inside of the store, have lots of new signage, a more obvious organic section, and things seem to be hipper - but maybe I'm just cynical. Yesterday, a very nice clerk gave out these alstrameria stems to say thanks for shopping at Freddie's. So nice to have two markets so close to home.
