Flying to the Finish

Our 13-year-old grandson, Brody, ran in his first track meet today.   He ran the 800 meter relay, and then the 1600 individual event.

He paced himself really well for the longer run, and on the last lap was passing everyone!!   Just before he crossed the finish line, he looked up at us in the stands and gave us a huge smile!

We all started laughing, and said he could have probably cut a full minute from his time if he hadn't been enjoying it so much!!!

Hopefully, this is the beginning of a long career in track and field for him.   We really love to watch him run!
