End of an episode

Last session for the art workshop in Skibbereen today with insufficient numbers to keep it sustainable. Sad to see it come to an end because it has provided some very valuable developments for me, even though some were initially tough to deal with. 

I spent most of last week working on this painting. I have very mixed feelings about it and it got differing opinions today, although all were useful and largely positive. It is larger than I am used to at 60cms (2feet) square on canvas and I did find that more of a challenge than I expected.

Extras show three smaller studies on paper which in many ways I feel are more successful and are derived from THIS painting.
