South from Howes Well
Betwixt showers of rain and hail there were some moments of brilliant blue sky today, but boy was it cold up on the fells. We parked by Sunbiggin Tarn and wandered over to Ray's Seat then cut across to Mazon Wath before heading up onto Middle Busk. Not a long or spectacular walk, but one filled with a simple joy in being out in the wild with Pooch.
Looking at her here it's easy to see how quickly she'd blend into her surroundings, how quickly she'd move into hunt mode. But today, firmly on her lead she was happy to lounge in the sun nibbling treats and having her tummy rubbed. Quite possibly a better life than the average Husky.
