Tynemouth - North Pier Lighthouse

The view as the ferry arrived at Tynemouth this morning. It's Mono Monday and our host davidc has set a theme of 'diamond'. All I can think of with the pictures I took today is that the windows of this and many other lighthouses are diamond-shaped. The background to the North Pier Lighthouse is the Tynemouth Castle and Priory.

Meanwhile we have arrived in our home away from home in Scotland for these three weeks. It does feel like coming home every time. Same weather as yesterday on the other side of the North Sea, sun, hail, wet snow, rain, sun :-)  The leg is behaving, pain manageable, sea was choppy but ok. Off for a dinner in the Dormy Clubhouse and then I think we'll start to relax for real.
