Colours of spring

Today is a day of sparkling sunshine and the colours of the new growth of the vegetation are clean and fresh. It will be hard to leave tomorrow but there is a lot to do back in the UK. Our friends kindly offered us a lift to the airport which will mean a civilised journey tomorrow at a reasonable hour. This afternoon we meet with the Mairie to discuss a proposal for the installation of bells for English change ringing in St George's Anglican Church in the village. It would be a first for France and possibly help keep Vernet on the tourist map. The counsellors are keen so the only problem will be securing sufficient finance.
