Seeing red

Went hunting Olympic mascots today. This one is by St Pauls

Go large if you wish.

Worked flat out all day. I never left the building. A colleague brought me lunch.

We were encouraged at work to decorate the office in readiness for the Olympics, so there are now balloons in red, white and blue hanging from the ceiling and Union Jack bunting round the walls.

I might feel a tiny bit excited now

I forgot when I got on the train that I shouldn't speak to people. I spoke to the man that sat next to me and complimented him on sitting down carefully rather than dropping into the seat and shaking everyone. He didn't take it as a compliment - moron - one of the many that I meet on the train with zero feelings for mankind. I must remember to only speak when spoken too.

The thing that made me smile: Frederick Kinghorn was the guard on the train. I had a pleasant conversation with him as we waited for the train to arrive in Winchester. He appeared to work seven days a week. I wonder if he really does

Exercise: Walked across London. Danced while cooking dinner

PS The man opposite me on the train had his shoes off. This is an epidemic that I had previously not noticed

PPS For those of you with children have a great summer. The weather may not be great but wear some waterproofs and enjoy your time together. My children are now adults and I miss the family outings
