Lest we forget

We went to the 9am ANZAC ceremony, held in our local area. This has a special focus on the soldiers who fell in war from what would have been then, a farming community.  

We stood in the sun with a large crowd that included many children who went forward and laid their poppies on the memorial.

I think that today was the first occasion I have been to and sung the Australian National Anthem.  It is a great tribute to include that along with our own.
