Stepping out for the last time..

5th September 2009 was the date the photo on the left was taken. It was Evie's first ever day at school. The photo on the right was Evie's last ever day at the infants school. Similar to camera phones, she has come a long way and makes me proud to be her dad.

Those three years have seen ups and downs but i know she will look back with fond memories of the infants when she is older.

I will always regret today though. Due to work commitments, I could only really attend either her leaving assembly last Friday or today's leavers church service. Unfortunately I chose the wrong one. Everyone has said what an emotional rollercoaster it was today and judging by the video footage I have seen, they were not wrong.

My consultation though was to greet Evie one last time from school as she came out.

I did get some precious time watching clips of the service with Evie after school on the laptop where we both were in floods of tears!

Tomorrow, we jet off to Cyprus for three weeks and after today, it makes you realise that you need to cherish every moment as they really do grow up way too quickly.
