Astonished again

A day of travelling – through Arizona and into Utah. Went through some fascinating changes of landscape, a lot of it desert.

Finally we arrived at the entrance to Zion National Park. We then had a 12 mile drive through the most amazing rocky cliffs to get to Springdale where we are staying. This was our introduction to the wonders of Zion. More tomorrow, as we spend a day here. (Extra: not a bad backdrop to a motel!)
