The Other Place
We decided to revisit The Other Place this morning now the crowds and excitement has calmed down a bit. The Other Place used to be a theatre before the RSC was rebuild, but closed when The Courtyard (a 'temporary' tin shed externally but very good theatre internally) was opened. It has now been refurbished and reopened as an exhibition/reharsal/cafe place. It is here that Radio 3 set up its pop-up radio station in a glass cage in the middle of the cafe and is broadcasting live all weekend. Being quieter we were able to sit comfortable with a coffee and watch the goings on.
Today is the first day of the Stratford Literary Festival. Ann went to a talk on Ted Hughes whilst I went to see Paul Gambaccini who was talking about his book Love, a book based on a journal he kept during the twelve months he was falsely accused under Operation Yew Tree.
The photo is taken in The Other Place where the decorations are somewhat eclectic.
